DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• HP compressors, caterpillar engines (D series), Cooling system, air compressors, cooling, mixing and transfer pumps of various sizes, ballast pumps, thrusters and lots of more equipments
• In charge of running of main engines and synchronizations. Taking on/transferring fuel and calculations. Maintenance on all engine room systems.
• general maintenance in the engine room, keeping record of the quantity of the all the ship’s lube oils/hydraulic oils and chemicals as well as keeping record of all the spare parts on board, Taking daily engine room and logs.
• The job to looked after engine air comp, welding machine and all construction tools to be in good order & repair of any faults
• Taking fuel, water and chemicals from the supply boats and also maintaining fuel records
• Taking care of the bilges throughout the Vessel
• Keeping a watch on the propulsion system during sailing of the Vessel and also carry out maintenance jobs on anchors
• Carrying out periodic maintenance of equipments on the Vessel as introduced by the Chief engineer
• Carrying out small jobs on the lathe and other machineries found in the work shop
• All kinds of oil field related installation and maintained such as compressor, pumps, purifier, cat eng series,watermaker, hydraulics, crane, thruster, sewage unit , oil water separator
