Job Description

WELDERS:
SCOPE OF WORK
Works to be carried out by skilled static Welders are as follows: Prepare the welding
machine, cables and all accessories for welding.
Welding of pipelines in different material such as carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless
Steel, Titanium, cupro nickel etc.
All kind of welding requirements as per maintenance requirement. Welding of steel structure,
Sheet metal, piping and pressure vessels.

Performing other works such as preparation of documents site measurements,

Maintaining tools/spare parts, transportation of material and site cleaning.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
3.1: Basic Function:
Performs a variety of skilled welding and cutting works in field or workshop locations, using
different welding techniques as per welding procedure specifications. Operates all types of
welding and cutting machines. Complies with all client's rules and regulations relating to safety
matters.
3.2. Duties to be performed:
a. Receives verbal or written work instructions with clear information and work methods to standards and discusses drawing details.
b. Clarifies work requirements with client supervisor before implementation.
Obtains all required work permits from client supervisor before commencing the assigned work.
c. Ensures that tools and equipment are in safe and effective working conditions and keeps safety requirements to be mentioned in accordance with client regulations and safety standards.
d. Collects materials and spare parts required for the work from the warehouse. Prepares to carry out job. Follows all instructions from safety agents in the
plant.
e. Checks work quality, and takes corrective action to remedy any detected faults through the work examination methods and standards.
f. Performs other similar or related duties such as assisting as necessary in other work using hand and pneumatic tools, maintaining good housekeeping at all
work locations.

Certification Requirement

3.3: Minimum Requirements: a. 3 year technical diploma in the welding. b. 5 years’ experience in the field. c. Ability to read and comprehend Technical manuals, WPS, and drawing. d. Ability to use all related tools in his field. e. Ability to communicate ( speak and write ) in English language. f. Ability to carry out jobs independently. g. Should be intelligent and creative. h. Must pass a welding test of selected metals with 100% radiography. i. Shall possess welder -qualification certificate.
