I have 11 years of Experience as a Mud logging Geologist in drilling of oil & gas wells, and past 3 years of experience as a site Geologist.

 

1   Presently working as a Mud logging Geologist (Unit Manager) in

Reputed Company in Kuwait since February 2011 to till the date.

 

2    Worked as a Mud logging Geologist for Oil Field Instrumentation (India) Ltd, Mumbai for the period of 2007 to 2011.

 

3    Worked as a Site Geologist & quality controller for Great India Mining

Company in Hyderabad for 3 years.

 

Previous Job Profile:

 

Involved in finding out deposits of Granites, Limestone and other deposits across the state. Once the deposit is found it has to be tested for economically viable or not and quality of that deposit for exploration purpose.

Technical:

 

Preparing well logs and final well reports, which include Master log, D'exp plot, Composite Logs, Shale Density & Shale Factor Plots, Drilling parameters, Bit details, Gas analysis data, Casing & Cementation data etc.

Organize the well control data for interpretation and future planning. Assisting the drill site personals in determining mud densities required, for safe drilling.

 

Formation Evaluation:

 

Interpretation of Well logs -Gamma, Resistivity, Neutron, caliper and Density logs.

 

Kick Control: Maintaining the pre – kick control data when mud or drilling parameters change. Pressure evaluations and analysis of control indicators (D’exp, Shale factor, Shale Density), monitor the shutting & circulation pressure and report to well control personals as needed.

 

Monitoring pumping data (SPM, SPP, Lag time, Lag strokes) during kick circulations and drilling operations. Identifying probable causes of kick and recommending actions to prevent further occurrences.

 

Monitoring Mud parameters( Mud wt., Mud Temp, Mud Cond.etc), Gas and drilling parameters ( ROP, WOB, RPM, SPM, SPP, Hook load and torque etc.) for signs of imbalance of down hole. Monitoring of hole filling parameters during all trips.

 

Gas Detection: Continuous separation of Hydrocarbon gases C1, C2, C3, iC4, nC4 and iC5

& nC5. Preparing Gas Ratio Plots to obtain formation producibility.

 

Sampling: Collection of drilled samples at specified lagged intervals.

Washing, sieving and drying followed by packing and labeling. Microscopic examination of samples and their interpretation,

Determination of shale density, shale factor & Determination of calcimetry.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Reporting back to the well site geologist and clients in written reports. Installation, calibration, operation, maintenance and trouble shooting of different

equipment of mud logging unit.

Worked in an international project for the client General Exploration Partners (GEP) in

Kurdistan region of country IRAQ, for deep wells.
