1)Operational Support Assist the Driller in managing and supervising all drilling operations. Monitor drilling parameters (e.g., weight on bit, rotary torque, and mud flow) and adjust equipment as needed. Maintain effective communication between the rig floor crew and the Driller. 2. Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures. Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks. Conduct pre-job safety checks and risk assessments. Monitor crew adherence to safe working practices. 3. Equipment Maintenance Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of rig floor equipment, including the top drive, mud pumps, BOPs, and handling tools. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or needed repairs. 4. Crew Supervision Lead and coordinate the activities of the rig floor crew (roughnecks and derrickmen). Train and mentor junior crew members in operational and safety procedures. Act as the crew leader in the absence of the Driller. 5. Drilling Efficiency Implement and monitor measures to improve drilling efficiency and minimize downtime. Coordinate with the Mud Engineer, Cementer, and other service personnel for well operations. 6. Well Control Monitor for signs of well control issues, such as kicks or blowouts, and take immediate action as per well control protocols. Maintain and operate well control equipment, including the blowout preventer (BOP) system. 7. Reporting and Documentation Record and maintain accurate logs of drilling activities and equipment performance. Assist the Driller in preparing daily drilling reports. 8. Emergency Response Act as a first responder during rig floor emergencies and participate in emergency drills. Ensure all crew members are familiar with emergency procedures
