Perform maintenance and repair for electrical components of drilling equipment (Driller’s console, DC drilling motors and auxiliaries, AC Generators, draw works, Rotary Table and mud pumps). Perform daily inspection and maintenance for electrical equipment. Assist with maintenance and repair of general rig equipment, e. g., HVAC system, communication systems, and lighting systems. Install new equipment as required, with regard to electrical wiring, fixtures and junction boxes. Ensure that before any maintenance activity is started, a proper risk evaluation is carried out, precautions are taken and the work permit is signed. Install rough wiring and finish wiring including but not limited to receptacles, light fixtures, final connections to motors and exit signs.  Ensure the correct operation of electrical systems and equipment through coordination of maintenance personnel in compliance with superior instructions, ensuring the respect of Quality and HSE procedure and practices Provide electrical technical support to all areas of the rig or site. Ensure that lock-out and tag-out procedures are fully complied with at rig site and camp site. Maintain the cleanliness of the SCR house and integrity of the electrical control equipment therein. Work with the Driller and other crew members to ensure that the rig is operated in accordance within the design parameters
