Maintains a vigilant effort to assess the condition of the Mechanical components during the course of normal operations in conjunction with an active preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime or unsafe situations. Prepares and maintains up to date maintenance records on all rig equipment and schedules work relation to the P.M. Program in the most efficient and least disruptive manner. • Diagnoses and be a part of team during repairs on malfunctioning of all types including diesel and gasoline engines, power end of mud pumps, air compressors, transmissions, and related equipment to assure continuity of operations. • Conducts safety and housekeeping checks to insure proper practices are observed. Advises rig foreman and crew members on the proper care and operation the equipment in use
