I had been involved in drilling and work-over of different types of wells – Exploratory Deviated, Horizontal & Re- entry wells etc. Have come across many types of well problems – Stuck pipe, Bit failure, String wash out, fishing, losses, Liner stuck, Liner Hanger Tool, string plug, Blowout etc. Have a sound knowledge on drilling equipment/machinery and the requirement for maintenance and inspection. Conversant with international drilling practices and regulations Have knowledge of possible health, safety, environmental impact, state and federal regulatory compliance requirements Have knowledge of Environmental Management System (EMS) operation, key personnel and their functions and responsibilities. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to accurately communicate ideas, instruction, problems, or solutions - orally, visually or in writing. Ability to persuade, teach, give presentations and alert workers to problems or dangers. Ability to accurately receive and understand ideas, instructions, questions, problems, solutions - orally, visually or in writing. Ability to learn, perceive problems or dangers and sense responsiveness. Knowledge of drilling techniques, measuring depths, blowout prevention and safety procedures essential. Familiarity with various types of drilling fluids. Must possess the skills to operate a rotary drill and familiarity with geology required. Worked in HSE sensitive situations – Oil base mud, H2S carrying formations. Co-ordinates with service company personals and third party equipments. Carry out routine safety inspections of various safety, drilling and rig equipments. Performed operations in a safe manner according to company policies and procedures. Discussed the operation plan, hazards and safety Alerts with superiors. Play an active role in Pre-Tour, Pre-Job, JSA and weekly safety meetings. Promote the use of STOP for employees to the personnel under his supervision.
