Ensuring that the operation and maintenance of drilling equipment and the VFD systems are kept on high level. • Carrying out necessary repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance of the electrical and electronic equipment on board. • Inspection of equipment onboard on a regular basis and ensuring that the equipment is always in a safe and proper condition. • Troubleshooting of VFD faults working with ABB- ACS800 & Siemens S120 used for Top drive, Mud pump, Draw works, Rotary Table, AD at Rig site. • Trouble shooting of electrical circuits. • Responsible for Installation and maintenance of Cater pillar D.G. and Synchronizing Panels (1400kva DG sets control through automatic & manual panel). • Responsible for operation and maintenance of Electrical Panels, Soft Starters, and various other types of starter panels etc. • Daily logs and monitoring of Switch Board Room and VFD room equipment and other major electrical equipment in rig. • Maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration plant, galley, and laundry equipment. • Inspection and maintenance of sensors (Flow, Level, Temperature, Pressure, Proximity, Fire and Gas detectors) and other drilling instrumentation equipment. • Maintenance and repair of PAGA, Fire & Gas, Telephone, CCTV, Radio equipment etc. • Maintaining adequate electrical spares and equipment onboard in discussion with Electrical Supervisor. • Ensuring that all third-party equipment meets the relevant offshore standards, and that equipment is fit for purpose. • Working knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning systems TOOLSUITE, and SAP • Carrying out lock out/ tag out for electrical isolations, TBRA, Permit to Work system, as per job requirements • Able to read electrical drawing and good knowledge of fault troubleshooting through circuit diagram.
