Maintaining down hole integrity and awareness of well conditions by use of Well Control calculations. Operation of NOV Cyberbase chair for manipulation of the Hydraracker system and ST-160 Iron Roughneck on drill floor. Managing and mentorship of a team of Floormen for all drill floor operations. Responsible for updating well control kill sheets daily. Assisting and supporting the Driller as operations dictate. Responsible mostly for operations on the Main well centre. Responsible for all drilling fluids, correct line ups for mixing, pumping and transferring of drilling fluids including down hole / boat to boat and bulk dry. Recording mud properties, working with mud engineers/loggers to maintain correct volumes, working with synthetic/water based mud systems and oil based mud systems & maintaining the mud pumps, Pump type: 5x National 14 - P - 220. Responsible for maintaining and running all associated pit / pump room equipment using NOV based computer controlled remote systems including mud pumps / pressure relief valves, charge / mix pumps, shakers, agitators, degassers / desilters, all high pressure lines/valves and changing out expendable parts when required. Mentoring of Floormen in all drill floor, moon pool, derrick, and man-riding activities.
