My Job responsibilites include: •To man the rig in shifts for round the clock operations and maintenance of drilling rig. •To carry out Trouble shooting of all rig machineries for any problem and carry out corrective measures. •Ensuring Proper Safety of myself & my crew while on site as well while working with the mechanical equipments. •To carry out preventive maintenance of equipments as per the schedules. •To carry out breakdown maintenance of equipment/machinery as and when required. •To replace spares and equipment as and when required for operation of the rig. •Assembling of all Mechanical Rig Equipments •Dismantling of all Mechanical Rig equipments. •Greasing and Lubrication if all equipment periodically as per maintenance schedule. •Monitoring/checking/keeping watch on rig equipment for abnormality in operation/sound/vibration/temperature, identify any abnormalities and take corrective action and report to Maintenance I/C as and when required. Recording of parameters in equipment log book/register. •Associating and working with electrical team for all inter related equipment/works at site. •Co-ordinate/associate during visits of audit team and comply/resolve audit points raised by Technical Audit,HSE,OISD & DGMS in consultation With Mechanical Area Manager. •Instruction to technicians for Cleaning of Air,water,diesel pipe lines by cloth and water as and when required. •Also cleaning of all house of equipment/canopy with cloth,water and diesel etc and keep the room from dust and unwanted items. •To associate and carryout dismantling mechanical equipment including all mud circulation machineries. Details of few major equipments I worked on the drilling rig: CAT 3512-B Diesel Generators, Drawworks driven by 2 nos. Of 1000 Hp DC motor, Mud Pumps(Mh-Whirth), Independent Rotary drive, Electrical compressor unit, Mobile mechanical compressor, Shale-shakers, Pumps, Supercharger, Desander, Desilter, Mud cleaner, De-gasser, Eddy current brake, Travelling block, Hook, Swivel, Fire water pump, Pipe spinner, BOP Hydraullic pump unit etc
