Senior Mechanic/ Responsibility to PMS & Troubleshoot all Rig Equipments. Line of Authority: Functionally Reporting to Rig Manager, Senior Mechanic makes sure the all rig mechanical equipment is good working condition by conducting inspections and Preventive Maintenance on the equipment; especially on rig critical equipment. To diagnose any problem arising from any rig equipment and rectify the problem and supervise the Assistant Mechanic. • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs as required. • Assisting to Chief Mech. In all Mechanical Maintenance related job. • Involved in PMS of Marine Engines, Compressors, Mud pumps, Cranes, Water Maker, Centrifugal Pumps, Top Drive, PRS, Rotary Table, HPU, Draw Works, Shale Shaker, Iron Roughneck, Mud Agitators, Air Winches, STP, Life Boats, Fixation systems, Power Packs and all other Rig miscellaneous equip. • Installation & Troubleshooting of Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and all Drilling Related equipment and tools. • Ensure the Permit to work and Energy Isolation systems. • Involved in developing Rig Specific Procedure (RSP). • Ensure that equipment remain in working order while maintaining their safety quotient. • Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and submits requisitions. • Concentrate on integrity of engines and motors, their working, repair and lubrication. • Involved in PMS of Marine Engines, Compressors, Mud pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Agitators etc. • Ensure that equipment remain in working order while maintaining their safety quotient. • Ensure proper maintenance of all maintenance records and logs. • Maintain proper logs of equipment and their current status. • Plan, prioritize and conduct risk assessments for daily work load. • Service, troubleshoot and repair all fluid systems and circulating pumps. • Provide assistance to other crew members, in case need help. • Attended 5 years Rig Major Overhaul done at Lamprell Hamriya port Sharjah.
