Responsibilities and duties as " DRILLER ": Familiarize with all established well control procedures. Familiarize with all established drilling operational procedures. Familiarize with testing of the BOP and how to operate the same and the diverter system. Know how to fill in the daily drilling report. Familiarize with Ton-Mile Calculation and keeping record for drilling line. Familiarize with the entire mud system, the safe operation and proper maintenance of same. Familiarize with the pipe tripping operations and how to safely handle and operate all drilling related tools and equipment. Ensure that all subordinates use correct personal protective equipment. Ensure that work needing "work permit" is not started before work permit is filled out and signed. Ensure that Safe Job analyses and toolbox talks are employed proactively. Special duties /functions: Familiar with all relevant work and safety procedures issued by the Company and by the Operator and promote the implementation of same. Report any safety hazards to immediate superior. Ensure all orders received verbally or in writing are fully understood and followed. Participate in all safety drills and safety meetings held onboard. Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained on the drill floor and in all drilling related areas. Promote a good relationship with the Operator's representative onboard. Promote on-the-job training.
