Crew Management and Training: • Supervise and mentor rig personnel, including Drillers, Derrickhands, and Floorhands. • Assign tasks and ensure crew efficiency and discipline. • Conduct training sessions for crew members on safety and operational procedures. • Evaluate crew performance and recommend promotions or training needs. 4. Equipment and Maintenance: • Ensure all drilling equipment (mud pumps, draw works, BOPs, etc.) is maintained and in working condition. • Plan and coordinate rig maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime. • Monitor inventory levels of drilling fluids, tools, and spare parts. • Report any mechanical failures and coordinate with maintenance teams. 5. Reporting and Documentation: • Maintain detailed records of drilling operations, equipment status, and incidents. • Prepare daily reports for the Rig Manager and Company Representative. • Ensure that well control logs, drilling logs, and safety reports are updated. 6. Communication and Coordination: • Act as a liaison between the rig crew, rig manager, and company representatives. • Ensure clear communication of drilling objectives and safety procedures. • Work with logistics teams for the transportation of materials and personnel. 7. Emergency Response: • Lead the rig crew in emergency situations (well control, blowouts, fires, etc.). • Ensure the implementation of emergency response plans. • Conduct regular emergency response drills.
