Roles and Responsibilities
Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions: Lead HSE incident investigations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Comprehensive List of Causes (CLC) to identify underlying issues. Develop and track corrective and preventive action plans, ensuring lessons learned are shared across project departments. Risk Assessment & Hazard Mitigation: Facilitate risk assessments, ensuring hazards are identified, evaluated, and mitigated to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) levels. Provide oversight for high-risk operations such as excavations, lifting, and wellhead installations. HSE Audits & Inspections: Conduct routine site inspections and audits to identify unsafe conditions, monitor contractor compliance, and verify adherence to safe work procedures, including lifting, confined space entry, and specialized operations. Permit to Work (PTW) & SIMOPS Coordination: Validate PTWs, certificates, and associated documents, ensuring on-site availability. Participate in daily PTW meetings, managing Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) and ensuring worksite safety. Contractor Safety Management: Oversee contractor HSE performance, track safety observations, near misses, and incidents via STOP Cards and Synergi systems, and ensure corrective actions are implemented for LTMS driving violations and other safety concerns. HSE Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), safety trends, and incident data, compiling detailed reports to support data-driven decisionmaking and continuous improvement. Emergency Preparedness & Response: Assist in planning, executing, and evaluating emergency drills, partnering with intervention teams to refine rescue procedures and site-specific emergency response plans. HSE Training & Workforce Awareness: Deliver targeted HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and specialized training on high-risk activities (e.g., working at height, confined space entry, and chemical exposure) to strengthen workforce safety awareness. Regulatory Compliance & Environmental Management: Collaborate with environmental teams to support ISO 14001 certification, waste management programs, and hazard-specific control measures, ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainable practices. Emergency Response & Drills: Evaluate and approve contractor emergency response plans, conduct emergency drills, and ensure workforce preparedness for rescue procedures and emergency
