Roles and Responsibilities
Environmental Policies and Procedures. Advising the OIM regarding conformance to Northern Offshore Safe System of Work, being a proactive and visible QHSE representative on-board during operations ensuring SSOW is maintained. Actively monitor rig operations and ensure compliance with Company QHSE policies and procedures, responsible for correcting or notifying responsible persons of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist Conducting daily & weekly safety meetings with the crews & 3rd parties onboard. Actively participate in worksite walkarounds and conduct PTW & work site audits. Provide onboard training in safety management systems and ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work. Conducting rig inductions and orientations for all personnel & new arrivals. Conducting regular safety equipment inspections on a daily, weekly & monthly basis. Monitor & maintain PPE & safety related equipment stock onboard. Facilitate & conduct incident investigations & follow-up corrective actions. Maintain & update JRA database, conducting regular reviews of JRA’s. Updating all daily, weekly & monthly QHSE reports and submitting in a timely manner. Reviewing CARES cards generated onboard and ensuring effectiveness of the CARES program. Monitor, conduct and participate in regular inspections and audits and follow up on rigs action tracker as required. Aid rig management in planning, conducting, and reviewing of regular emergency response drills onboard. Monitor training and competency process for all rig personnel & Liaise with shore-base with supporting documentation. Provide guidance and support to crew members as required. Support as required and directed by OIM. Perform duties as per the rig Station Bill and as directed by the OIM. Ensuring clear and comprehensive handovers to relief.
