As a Floorman (Roughneck), I support drilling operations on the rig floor under the direction of the Driller. My key responsibilities include handling, connecting, and disconnecting drill pipes and tools during tripping operations. I operate equipment such as tongs, slips, and elevators, and assist in the maintenance and cleaning of rig equipment and the work area. I help the Derrickman with mud system tasks and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. I strictly follow safety procedures, wear PPE, and participate in safety meetings and emergency drills. My role also involves identifying and reporting any hazards or equipment issues to supervisors. Physical strength, teamwork, and the ability to work long shifts in challenging environments are essential in this role. I contribute to keeping operations safe, smooth, and efficient.
