He supervises the drill crew, maintain drilling equipment, and assist in well control procedures. This role is critical in maintaining smooth operations on the rig while adhering to safety and operational guidelines. Assist the Driller in managing daily drilling operations and supervise and coordinate the activities of the drill crew. Monitor and maintain drilling parameters as per instructions. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies and conduct routine inspections and maintenance of drilling equipment. Assist in well control procedures and respond to emergencies. Train and mentor crew members to improve operational efficiency. Communicate with the Driller, Tool pusher, and other rig personnel.
