Assist and Relieve Assistant Driller. Preventive maintenance of mud pumps and all drilling Equipments. Mixing chemicals for mud and brine. Assisting the Driller during an emergency or well control situation – assist in the well killing operations. monitoring pH and calcium levels, viscosity and the mud weight (density), adding chemicals and oil based fluids, And being responsible for the mud pump Derrickman's responsibilities include assisting the Driller in drilling operations, maintaining the mud system, and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of drill pipe and other equipment. They also participate in rig maintenance, safety procedures, and the overall operation of the drilling rig.
