Responsible for running the drilling equipment safely and efficiently.Enforce safety protocols at all times.Conduct and attend safety meetings (Toolbox Talks).Inspect and maintain all drilling equipment to avoid breakdowns.Maintain drilling logs and report daily activities to Toolpusher or Rig Manager.Well control & safety:Respond quickly to kick/well control situations (BOP operation, shut-in)Ensure the team follows safety rules and job instructions.Keep track of pressure, depth, torque, mud weight, etc., to avoid well control issues.Follow the drilling program provided by the company or well engineer.Participate in setting up or dismantling the rig safely.Coordinate with other departments:Work closely with mud engineers, geologists, and company reps (client).Operate top drive, drawworks, rotary table, and other critical rig systems. Monitor weight on bit (WOB), RPM, ROP etc.
