JOB RESPONSIBILTIES ❖ Assist with well development and pumping test ❖ Direct rig crew in setting up rigs and drilling, completing or servicing oil and gas exploration and producing wells ❖ Maintain records of drilling and servicing operations ❖ Move drilling rigs and equipment from site to site, set up in the new site and connect power cables or hoses for water and air supply ❖ Obtain drilling core samples ❖ Operate controls of drill or service rig drilling and hoisting machinery including equipment such as pumps for air, water and mud, and equipment and tools used to correct problems in drilled holes caused by mechanical breakdowns or by harmful natural condition ❖ Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a plate from on the rig derrick during the removal and replacement of strings of pipe, or drill stem and drill bit. ❖ Assist in setting up, taking dawn and transporting drilling and service rigs ❖ Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, Transmissions, pumps and drilling mud systems, and mix mud chemical, cements and additive ❖ Read gauges to monitor pressure, density, rate and concentration and adjust pumping procedure as required ❖ Record mud flows and Volumes and take samples ❖ Supervise floor hands and laborers
