Operate the rig cranes in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with Company Policies and procedures. Regularly perform Preventive Maintenance on cranes and components. Provide Roustabouts with relevant instructions for current and for the coming operations. Partake in pre-jobsafety meetings prior to all non-routine deck operations. Inspect all lifting types of equipment prior to use i.e.slings, straps, shackles, wire ropes, etc. Ensure lifted loads are clear of obstructions, balanced, and properly secured with taglines. Operate the crane as required for running casing/riser, picking up or laying down tubular, placement of equipment and supplies, etc. Operate the crane as required for transferring personnel and materials to and from supply boats. Act as Helicopter Landing Officer supervising the transit of passengers, baggage, and freight. Notify the Deck Pusher or Barge Operator prior to lifting or transferring heavy equipment or materials that may affect the rig stability. Assist the Barge Operator or Deck Pusher during rig moves Assist with the replacement and installation of mooring lines and bulk fill lines. Perform safety inspection on gauges, indicators, limit switches, cables, electrical, and hydraulic system in cranes. Carry out Preventive Maintenance tasks on the crane and components equipment. Maintain log of all maintenance records. Assist the Deck Pusher in organizing the deck for efficient and safe operation. Maintain a clean and organized main deck and pipe deck. Assist in keeping a running inventory of slings and lifting equipment in use. Advise the Barge Master of shortage and damaged slings. Assist the third-party service personnel in picking up and moving equipment for special operations. Maintain good communication among Marine, Drilling and Maintenance departments. Etc
