I am responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of mechanical equipment used in the oil and gas industry. My role involves ensuring the optimal functionality of critical systems, including pumps, engines, compressors, and drilling tools, to minimize operational downtime. In order to maintain the equipment's efficiency and longevity, I perform routine preventative maintenance, such as lubrication, calibration, and part replacements. I provide effective solutions to problems and keep operations running smoothly as I troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in real time. Additionally, I assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring everything is aligned and functioning according to specifications. I strictly adhere to safety protocols, performing hazard assessments and ensuring compliance with Schlumberger’s safety standards to protect both personnel and equipment. I document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements to ensure regulatory and operational compliance. I also work with team members, engineers, and supervisors to discuss equipment conditions and make suggestions for improvements. I mentor junior mechanics, providing technical guidance and fostering a team-oriented work environment.
