Ensure high standard of hygiene and housekeeping maintained onboard the rig. Ensure the driller is informed on an ongoing basis as to the well program objective and communicate any changes in plans. Monitor maintenance, repair and installation of all drilling equipment including repair, lubrication, maintenance record, and inventory levels. Maintain records of inspection and certification of drilling equipment and tubulars. Ensure the mud mixing system and solid control equipment are being monitored constantly and properly maintained. Relieve Driller at the Driller's console as operational requirements demand. Supervise the drilling crew in work activities of Make-up & Break-off the Bottom Hole Assembly components, Drill line cut & slip, Nipple up/Nipple down BOP & BOP Pressure Testing, Running Casing string and Cementing job. Take part in the daily operation meeting with OIM, DSV/Company Man and other department Heads. Review and approve all related work permits. Supervise equipment preparation for impending drilling operation. Ensure that all well control requirements are in place according to operational requirements. Perform all well control calculation and assists in supervising well killing operation in an emergency situation. Assist Company Man/DSV in coordinating the activities of third party personal responsible for various aspects of well program. Review and maintain daily, weekly and monthly drilling operational reports and approve accordingly. Assist in the planning, organization and supervision in rig down/rig move/rig up related operation. Prepare requisition purchase order for equipment's or necessary spare parts to keep operation free of downtime and maintained sufficient stocks of parts/materials. Meets the training requirements as per applicable training matrix. Mentor, develop and train crew member to ensure that they are competent to perform their allocated work and work at their next level. Ensure all subordinates receive an annual performance appraisal. Recommend promotion or disciplinary action up to and including discharge
