As a NTP my main role is to ensure and enforce all safety protocols as per company rules so that the tasks and completed without any incident. I have to ensure that driller and the crew are aware of the daily plans given by the client. I have Prepare for the next operation while focusing on the current operation. I also have to interact with the company man and discuss the next plan of operation. I have to relieve Drillers for breaks. I also prepare BHA and cross check certifications and COCs for tubulars. I have to take pre tour safety meetings and resolve any grievances from the crew. I have to ensure daily operations are executed smoothly with all safety measures in place. I also have to check all BOP and well control equipment are certified and pressure tested. I have to solve any downhole problems that may occur while drilling or tripping.
