As a Software Test Engineer, my primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications before they reach end users. I actively participate in the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC), working closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and create effective test strategies. My work involves designing detailed test plans, preparing and executing manual test cases, and performing various levels of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. Alongside manual testing, I also contribute to automation by creating and executing scripts using industry-standard tools, which helps in improving efficiency and reducing repetitive tasks. I am responsible for identifying, documenting, and reporting software defects, and I collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution. Using tools such as JIRA and TestRail, I maintain clear records of test progress, defects, and results. I actively participate in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives, contributing to the Agile development process.
