The Main Role of Slickline Operator Well Operation: Operate fishing equipment (under well equipment) such as bailer, stem, or driving equipment, as well as installing and taking valves, plugs, and pressure regulators at a specified depth. Care and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on slickline equipment and well equipment, including light mechanical repairs. Data Collection: Lowering tools to collect reservoir data or identify problems in the well. Emergency Intervention: Directing a tool to retrieve broken or missing wires or equipment in the well. Slickline Operator's Main Responsibilities Operation Preparation: Ensure the work unit and all slickline equipment are ready to be operated and function properly before work begins. Work Safety (HSE): Implement safety measures, identify risks and hazards on site, and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Equipment Maintenance: Doing preventive and corrective maintenance (pre-job & post-job maintenance) on work units and equipment. Documentation & Reporting: Record the use of materials and spare parts, and make reports of damage or findings during work. Crew Guidance: Improving the technical and non-technical abilities of more junior crew members. Mobilisation & Cleaning: Assist the mobilisation process, work area cleaning, and equipment repair after the work is completed.
