A Slickline Assistant plays a vital role in supporting well intervention and maintenance operations in the oil and gas industry. The position involves assisting the Slickline Operator in preparing, assembling, and running slickline tools used for various downhole tasks such as setting and retrieving plugs, fishing, depth correlation, and well diagnostics. Responsibilities include helping with rig-up and rig-down of slickline units, maintaining and cleaning tools, and ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition before and after operations. The assistant also helps prepare reports, organize tools and materials, and follows safety standards in all activities. The role requires good teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions in high-pressure environments. A Slickline Assistant must be physically fit, safety-conscious, and willing to work offshore or in remote field locations under rotational shifts. Basic knowledge of well operations, mechanical aptitude, and understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) procedures are important for success in this position.
