I started working at Expro Qatar on 21-07-23, the role consists working both on offshore platforms, intervention vessels and jack-ups, also working in the base to prepare tools, equipment and PCE for load outs and post maintenance of equipment on completion of the job. My role offshore as a slickline supervisor 1 is to lead a 3 man crew offshore, delegating tasks to my junior crew members and also to guide them and provide training and assistance where needed. The main activities offshore for slickline operations ranges from standard slickline line drift runs through the GLV operations, operations also include to rig up braided line for both fishing operations to E-Line operations. The working environment in Qatar is very hot and the wells themselves are HTHP with high levels of H2S present. My other responsibilities include liaising with the client rep on a daily basis to update and plan the operations so they both run efficiently and as safely as possible. As the Expro vocal point is also my job to take care of all paperwork aspects ranging from DOR through to end of EOWR and to make sure that operation updates are available to onshore support and management
