CHIEF ELECTRICIAN Responsible for maintenance, installation and repairs of all electrical equipment on board the rig. • Ensure daily electrical inspections and maintenance are carried out. • Carryout both preventive and corrective maintenance according to oracle System. • Operate, maintain and repair power generation and distribution equipment, i.e. generators and engine controls, VFDs, switchgears, transformers, etc. • Maintenance and repair of general rig equipment such as HVAC system, refrigeration plants, power and communication systems, lighting, etc. • Carry out maintenance and repair on electrical components of drilling equipment, i.e. Amphion Drilling System, AC drilling motors and auxiliaries, Top Drive System, Automated draw works System, mud pumps, etc. • Carry out maintenance and repair on electrical components of marine equipment, i.e. motors and auxiliaries, control panels, cranes, Jacking and Fixation system, etc. • Maintain an adequate supply of spares in order to fulfill maintenance requirements and facilitate a safe and efficient operation – generate requisitions as required. • Inform supervisor and other department heads of any technical problems or limitations that may affect the safe operation of the rig. • Implement the outstanding recommendations from audits, as issued by Clients, Regulatory Authorities or rig management. • Ensure that reports for repair and maintenance of equipment are accurate and complete. • Assist in supplying information for maintenance and repair budget
