As a Roustabout, I assisted in daily rig operations by supporting equipment handling, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks. My duties included maintaining a clean and safe work environment on the rig floor, deck, mud pits, and storage areas. I regularly handled pipes, hoses, cables, and drilling tools, ensuring they were properly cleaned, prepared, and delivered to the required locations. I supported deck operations by helping with loading and offloading materials and working closely with the Crane Operator as a signalman/banksman when required. I safely used lifting gear such as slings, shackles, and chains according to rig safety standards. On the drill floor, I assisted with pipe handling, applying thread compound, and preparing equipment for drilling operations. I strictly followed all HSE procedures, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Toolbox Talks, and Safe Work Practices. I consistently used PPE and reported any hazards or unsafe conditions to my supervisor. I also participated in emergency response drills, including Firefighting and H2S drills. Throughout my work, I maintained good teamwork and communication with the Driller, Assistant Driller, Crane Operator, and the entire crew to ensure smooth and safe rig operations. My goal was always to support the team and keep operations running efficiently.
