1. Handling Drill Pipe and Equipment • Assist in tripping pipe (running drill pipe in and out of the hole). • Connect and disconnect drill pipe, collars, and other bottomhole assembly tools. • Operate tongs, slips, elevators, and other floor machinery safely. 2. Maintaining Rig Floor Operations • Keep the rig floor clean, organized, and safe at all times. • Monitor equipment for issues and report any defects to the derrickman or driller. • Properly position tools and assist with making up and breaking out connections. 3. Supporting Drilling Activities • Assist the driller and derrickman during drilling operations. • Help run casing, tubing, and other tubular operations. • Assist with well control equipment operations under supervision. 4. Equipment Maintenance & Housekeeping • Perform routine maintenance on rig equipment (lubrication, tightening, cleaning). • Help with inspection and repairs of pumps, shale shakers, mud pits, and other rig components. • Clean tools, machinery, and work areas to maintain a safe working environment. 5. Mud System Support • Assist derrickman with mud mixing and transferring tasks when required. • Check mud levels in pits under supervision. 6. Safety Responsibilities • Follow all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols without exception. • Wear proper PPE and ensure others follow safety requirements. • Participate in safety meetings, drills, and toolbox talks. • Identify hazards and stop unsafe work (Stop Work Authority). 7. General Rig Support • Help move and set up rig components during rig-up and rig-down operations. • Assist in transporting materials such as drill pipe, casing, and tools. • Provide general labor to support all rig activities as needed
