Monitor and assist in the safe operation of drilling activities under the guidance of the Driller. Operate and oversee drilling equipment and systems, including the Amphion control system, ensuring all parameters are within safe limits. Coordinate with the drill crew during tripping, BHA handling, casing operations, and other critical drilling tasks. Assist in maintaining well control readiness by monitoring pit levels, choke manifold, BOP system, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Participate actively in well control operations and maintain valid well control certification. Ensure communication and proper handovers between shifts, clearly documenting drilling parameters, equipment status, and operational changes. Supervise floor crew activities to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant operations. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of drilling equipment, including drawworks, top drive, mud pumps, and auxiliary systems. Support the Driller in implementing drilling programs, safety procedures, and operational standards. Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments (JSA/JHA). Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices are followed on the drill floor and related areas. Report any equipment malfunction, safety concern, or non-conformance to the Driller and Toolpusher promptly. Assist with training and development of floor hands and other junior crew members.
