1- The Assistant Driller operates and monitors all drilling systems and equipment, assists in drill crew work activities, and manages appropriate drilling documentation for the process of drilling oil and gas wells on drilling unit. 2- Perform as driller as and when required, act as lead hand when working on the rig floor, and supervise personnel per driller instructions. 3- Connecting Open & Close lines of BOP & Monitoring Commey & BOP Tests. 4- Ensure Crown Saver Or Crown Matic is in the correct place & all rig floor equip. are in proper working condition. 5- Inspect safety lines ropes, air hoists, monkey board, derrick fingers, stabbing boards, sheaves, crown blocks, derrick bolts, pins, welds, and other equipment related to the derrick utilizing proper safety equipment, mixing drilling fluids and chemicals. 6- Supervises and assists in, installing, testing & repairing Blow out Preventer (BOP).
