Operate all rig equipment safely, including drawworks, top drive, rotary, and pumps. Supervise the drilling crew and ensure everyone follows safety procedures. Monitor well parameters like pump pressure, pit volumes, torque, and returns. Detect early signs of kick, losses, stuck pipe, or equipment failure. Execute all drilling operations according to the drilling program and instructions from the toolpusher/company man. Perform and maintain well control, ensure BOP readiness, and participate in regular drills. Inspect and maintain critical equipment on the rig floor on a daily basis. Keep proper communication with the toolpusher, company man, mud engineer, and crew members. Maintain accurate trip sheets, pump logs, and daily drilling records. Ensure the rig floor is clean, organized, and safe at all times. Lead the crew during emergency situations and follow all HSE standards.
