As a Toolpusher on ONGC onshore rigs, I am responsible for supervising and coordinating all drilling operations to ensure the well program is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with ONGC procedures. I lead the rig crews, guide the Driller, and make sure all activities follow ONGC’s HSE standards, SOPs, and well control requirements. I closely monitor drilling parameters, oversee rig performance, and ensure all equipment—including hoisting, rotating, circulating systems, and BOP—are properly inspected, maintained, and ready for operations. Safety is my highest priority. I conduct toolbox talks, enforce the Permit-to-Work system, ensure JSAs are followed, and keep the crew prepared for emergencies and well control situations. I verify equipment readiness, monitor crew competency, and take proactive action to prevent incidents and downtime. I also manage logistics and materials by coordinating with ONGC engineers, service providers, and suppliers to maintain sufficient inventory and support smooth, continuous operations. I assist in preparing daily reports, operational documentation, and incident follow-ups. Overall, I ensure safe, cost-effective, and uninterrupted rig operations while maintaining ONGC’s high standards of safety, performance, and environmental protection.
