Conduct toolbox talk with the crew for the current operation in every shift. - Ensure that well control equipment are in correct position and working properly. - Ensure that safety devices of drawworks are set and working properly. - Maintain rig equipment and tubular handling tools in good condition. - Ensure work permits are live before starting any job. - Operates rig equipment in driller’s control panel ensuring maximum drilling/tripping performance. - Supervise any operations on the rig floor. - Monitors and interprets drilling parameters for optimum drilling performance. - Immediate response in any emergency situation such as well control issues, fire, H2S release and rescue operations. - Supervise rig move and rig down activities. Lay and set rig equipment. Operates rig equipment with strict adherence to safety policies. Monitors the performance of all rig equipment and handling tools. Identifies and analyze problems with drilling equipment and recommends appropriate action.
