Roles and Responsibilities
Loading and unloading of load, safety, leadership , team work , proper and strong communication between team members, check before entering the crane, inspection should be done in all instruments, check the water level , check the load after unloading the load. A crane operator is responsible for safely controlling cranes to lift, move, and position heavy loads, machinery, and materials on construction or industrial sites. Key duties include conducting pre-shift safety inspections, setting up equipment (outriggers), interpreting lift plans, communicating with signal personnel, and performing routine maintenance. Operational Safety: Inspecting crane components (hooks, cables, hydraulic systems) daily, ensuring load stability, and adhering to strict safety protocols. Load Manipulation: Operating levers and pedals to lift, rotate, and place materials with high precision. Site Setup & Operation: Positioning cranes, assessing soil stability, and following instructions from dogmen or riggers. Maintenance & Records: Performing minor repairs, cleaning machinery, and keeping logs of loads moved and equipment inspections. Technical Skill: Executing complex lifts, working in various weather conditions, and adhering to load capacity limits. Operators must possess strong spatial awareness and communication skills to navigate tight spaces while coordinating with site personnel.
