Roles and Responsibilities
As an Offshore Steward, I am responsible for maintaining high standards of hospitality and hygiene in a demanding offshore environment. My role is crucial for the well-being and morale of the rig/vessel crew. Key responsibilities include: Catering Support: Assisting in the preparation and serving of high-quality meals, ensuring dietary requirements and meal timings are strictly followed. Housekeeping & Janitorial: Managing the cleanliness of cabins, laundry services, and communal areas (mess halls, recreation rooms) to ensure a comfortable living environment for all personnel. Health & Safety (HSE): Implementing strict food safety (HACCP) and sanitation protocols. Ensuring all chemical handling and cleaning procedures meet offshore safety standards. Inventory Management: Assisting in the receipt, storage, and rotation of dry and frozen provisions to minimize waste and ensure stock availability. Emergency Duties: Actively participating in safety drills and maintaining readiness for emergency response as per the vessel's muster station requirements."
Additional Skills/Certification
BOSIET/OPITO & STCW certified Offshore Steward. Expert in HACCP food safety, industrial housekeeping, and chemical handling. Proficient in multicultural communication and emergency response with experience in UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia."
