My background as a Second Officer on oil/chemical and bitumen tankers has provided strong transferable skills relevant to offshore DP operations, including: ● Bridge watchkeeping in high-risk and restricted environments (ice navigation, high traffic density, STS operations); ● Strict adherence to safety management systems, permits to work, and risk assessments; ● Effective bridge resource management and clear communication within multinational crews; ● Participation in emergency drills, inspections (PSC, SIRE 2.0, terminal and flag state) with no observations; ● Strong situational awareness and ability to operate under pressure during critical operations. In addition, I hold all required offshore readiness documentation, including BOSIET (HUET with CA-EBS/EBS) and valid OGUK medical, and I am available to join ASAP on flexible rotations and short-term contracts to accelerate my DP development.
