- Deck Operations Assist in mooring and unmooring the vessel Handle ropes, wires, anchors, and winches Assist during berthing and anchoring - Maintenance & Upkeep Cleaning, painting, chipping rust, and polishing General maintenance of deck equipment and fittings - Watchkeeping Stand lookout watch as instructed Report hazards, other vessels, or safety concerns - Cargo Operations Assist with loading, securing, and unloading cargo Lashing and unlashing cargo when required - Safety & Emergency Duties Participate in emergency drills (fire, abandon ship, man overboard) Operate life-saving and fire-fighting equipment - Navigation Support Assist officers with basic navigational tasks Help with steering the vessel under supervision (if qualified) - Compliance & Discipline Follow safety procedures and ship rules Carry out duties as directed by the Bosun
