•Conscientious, multi-skilled Electrical technician, Maintenance technician, Ex Inspector. •Over 20 years’ experience in electrical plant service, fault finding, inspection, repair & maintenance within oil & gas sectors on/offshore. • All aspects of construction, hook up and commissioning of brown field work scopes world wide •Enthusiastic, quick thinking, problem solver that’s focused on safety as a core value • Reliable, hardworking employee who is equally at home working alone or as part of a team. •Excellent supervisory and mentoring skills. •Excellent proactive attitude, ensuring timely completion of all tasks keeping safety as a top priority. • Extensive experience within hazardous areas classifications and hazardous area equipment certification. •Extensive experience with a variety of instrumentation and control equipment and manufacturers, including DCS, ESD, F&G, control valves, solenoid valves, meters, transmitters. •Installation, commissioning, maintenance, fault finding and repairs of all internal and external systems that include 440v switchboards, ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs, group starter panels, distribution boards, compressors, emergency and non-emergency lighting systems, navigational aid systems, heli deck lighting systems, telecoms and PAGA systems. •Excellent knowledge of production facilities in an oil/gas and petrochemical industry including installation, repair, testing and maintenance of wide range of instrumentation and control systems including DCS, ESD, F&G. •Excellent with LV Electric motor overhaul, power generation, compressors, gas turbines up to 750MW, diesel generators 2600KW, 1300KW and emergency diesel generation rated at 200KW •Knowledge of telecommunications systems, PAGA systems, ethernet systems. •Excellent ability to read and understand drawings and specifications specific to instrumentation discipline e.g., P&ID’s, loop diagrams, junction box and marshalling cabinet schematic diagrams, cable block diagrams, vendor control system drawings etc. •Excellent knowledge with standard operating practice with respect to maintenance activities in an operational Oil & Gas production/processing environment, with specific regard to hazardous area practices and restrictions •Excellent with typical system interfaces to platform control systems and vendor packages, electrical switchgear, and motor control centers •Good working knowledge of fire & gas including emergency shutdown system operation and philosophies, including the ability to read and understand cause & effect matrix. Excellent computer skills / word / excel / power point / SAP.
