As an Oiler on an Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel, I assisted engineers in engine room operations and watchkeeping while supporting offshore activities. My duties included lubrication and routine maintenance of main engines, auxiliary engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and hydraulic systems. I monitored machinery parameters, tank levels, and alarms to ensure safe and efficient operation. I assisted during anchor handling, towing, DP-related operations, bunkering, and port maneuvers by maintaining machinery readiness. I maintained engine room cleanliness, complied with safety management systems, used proper PPE, and actively participated in emergency drills such as fire, oil spill, and abandon ship to support safe offshore operations.
