HSE Responsibilities As an HSE professional, my primary responsibility is to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors at the workplace. I am responsible for implementing and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and standards in line with company requirements, client specifications, and local authority regulations. I conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and method statement reviews to identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented. I actively monitor site activities to prevent unsafe acts and conditions and have the authority to stop work in case of any serious safety violation. Ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and promoting safe work practices among the workforce is a key part of my role. I am responsible for conducting safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training to improve safety knowledge and build a strong safety culture. I also investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence. Additionally, I maintain accurate HSE records, permits, inspection reports, and incident logs. I coordinate closely with supervisors, engineers, and management to support continuous improvement in HSE performance. My role also includes ensuring environmental protection measures, waste management, and compliance with environmental guidelines to minimize the impact of operations on the environment.
