As a Slickline Operator, my primary responsibility is to perform safe and efficient slickline operations on oil and gas wells. I prepare, inspect, and maintain slickline equipment, including the slickline unit, pressure control equipment (PCE), lubricator, stuffing box, and downhole tools before and after each job. I am responsible for rigging up and rigging down equipment on the wellhead according to approved procedures and conducting pressure tests to ensure well integrity. During operations, I run and retrieve downhole tools such as plugs, valves, gauges, and pulling tools to support well maintenance and production. I monitor line tension, tool depth, and well conditions continuously to ensure safe and accurate operations. I also identify any abnormalities and report them to the supervisor immediately. In addition, I perform routine maintenance, keep tools clean and in good condition, and maintain proper job records and reports. I strictly follow safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and risk assessments. I work closely with supervisors and crew members to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and maintain the highest safety and operational standards.
