As an Assistant Driller, I support the Driller in executing safe and efficient drilling operations in accordance with company policies and international standards. I monitor drilling parameters including weight on bit, pump pressure, mud properties, and rate of penetration to ensure optimal performance and early detection of any abnormalities. I assist in supervising the drilling crew on the rig floor, ensuring that all activities such as tripping, casing, cementing, and well control operations are performed safely and efficiently. I am responsible for maintaining drilling equipment, reporting mechanical issues, and coordinating with the maintenance team to minimize downtime. I ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and actively participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. In the absence of the Driller, I take responsibility for overseeing drilling operations and maintaining proper communication with the toolpusher and other departments. Additionally, I contribute to accurate reporting of daily drilling activities and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and safety performance.
