Oversee inventory management of spare parts, consumables, lubricants, and chemicals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring critical stock levels remain sufficient to support continuous operations. Prepare and submit detailed material requisitions in advance, anticipating major overhauls, scheduled maintenance, and unforeseen failures, thereby minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted vessel operations. Monitor machinery performance parameters, analyze trends, and take proactive measures to prevent failures and optimize equipment lifespan. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues, coordinating repairs with onboard personnel and shore-based technical teams when required.
