Radio operator role, Is in charge for the following onboard. POB report Allocating cabins for onsigners Carry out crew change and and logistics operation onboard He is the PTW administrator Maintain watch on the emergency radio and emergency fire and gas panel Make sure all emergency communications are reported to the OIM Complete the GMDSS logbooks Take down logs for all vessels and chopper movements and operations. Responsibilities for radio operator Assist the OIM as per his instructions Support during drills exercise Pacitipate in the pre-tour . Pacitipate in the safety management system onboard, Assist personnel with information onboard Support personal with the right PTW to work when needed . During crew change on board, the radio operator with conduct crew change with respect to the crew change manifest for that and report it to the POB report to all the supervisors .
