Roles and Responsibilities
Motivated and reliable Motorman with solid experience in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines, generators, pumps, and associated mechanical systems. Proficient in checking operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, RPM, and fluid levels to ensure safe and efficient performance. Skilled in performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, including lubrication, filter replacement, basic repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical faults. Strong knowledge of engine room routines, safety procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Committed to maintaining cleanliness, order, and compliance with maritime and industrial safety standards. Experienced in supporting engine officers during maneuvers, watchkeeping duties, and emergency situations such as machinery alarms or system failures. Demonstrates strong teamwork, discipline, and the ability to work under pressure in demanding environments. Responsible for accurate logbook entries, reporting abnormalities, and assisting with inspections, overhauls, and shipyard or dry dock operations. Adaptable, proactive, and focused on continuous improvement and safe vessel operations.
