Drilling Operations: Assisting in making or breaking connections (screwing or unscrewing pipes) as drill pipe is inserted or removed from the hole. Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning, lubricating, and repairing drilling machinery, including mud pumps and shale shakers. Rig-Up/Rig-Down: Assembling and disassembling the drilling rig and its associated equipment. Safety Adherence: Adhering to strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols, such as checking for gas leaks and fire hazards. Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents. Handling Tubulars: Managing drill pipe and other tubular components on the rig floor.  Physical stamina is crucial for this role, requiring high strength and endurance to work long hours in challenging weather conditions. Strong mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and the ability to follow directions are also essential skills. The schedule is typically long and involves rotating 12-hour shifts.
