Responsibilities: • supervision of Marine Department (both Deck and Bridge/DP) • as MSL, efficient and productive co-operation between departments as well as client representative • timely and efficient planned maintenance of deck, fire and safety equipment • safe cargo operations (including dry cargo boat transfers), • planning and execution of safe and efficient crane operations, • ongoing inspection and management of lifting equipment • planning and execution of emergency drills • performing on board training related to security and environmental protection • as Unit Security Officer, keeping good control of unit security, which was crucial in West Africa Region, • controlling of rig’s certification in conjunction with OIM, • periodical inspections of various tanks as part of Continuous Survey strategy approved by class.
